二次創作は歓迎すべきこと
世の中には、イースやドラ◯エ、F◯といったナンバリングが二桁になる作品ばかりではない。
むしろ何十年も昔の名作だが、現在はサッパリといったゲームタイトルにあふれている。
まさにそうした作品にとって、二次創作は「歓迎すべきこと」であったりする。

二次創作は作品の命をつなぐ
少なくともハチは、自分の大好きな作品について、原作者（著作権者）の方から次のように教えていただいたことがある。
「作品が出続けることが作品の命をつなぐ」
「（二次創作も）歓迎すべき」
であると。
原作者は基本、その作品の創造主であり、唯一無二の存在。生みの親。誰よりもその作品に血と汗と涙を注ぎ続けてきた方のはず。
なので、作品によっては二次創作が「歓迎されている（場合がある）」ことを今日はお伝えしたかった。
昨日の記事はどちらかというと二次創作の「デメリット」的な内容だったので、バランスよく「メリット」も記載させていただいた次第。
（もちろん、著しく作風を損なうような二次創作はNGであったりもする）
これからも二次創作を続ける
ハチの場合、原作者や著作権者、権利者様が「首を縦に振ってくれている間」は、二次創作をこれからもずっと続けていくことだろう。

The world isn't just filled with franchises like Ys, Dragon Quest, or Final Fantasy that have reached double-digit entries.
Rather, it's overflowing with game titles that are decades-old masterpieces but have completely faded from view today.
For precisely these works, fan creations are often “something to be welcomed.”

Fan Creations Keep a Work's Life Going
At the very least, Hachi has been told the following by the original creator (copyright holder) of a work he deeply loves:
“A work's life is sustained by its continued existence.”
“(Fan creations are also) something to be welcomed.”
That's what they said.
The original creator is the work's creator, a unique and irreplaceable being. Its birth parent. They are the one who has poured more blood, sweat, and tears into that work than anyone else (though I realize there are exceptions due to various circumstances).
So, for some works, I wanted to convey today that “this kind of background exists (in some cases).”
Yesterday's article leaned more towards the “disadvantages” of fan creations, so I wanted to balance it out by also covering the “advantages.”
(Of course, fan creations that undermine the original style are still a no-go.)
Continuing fan creations from here on out
In Hachi's case, as long as the original creators, copyright holders, and rights holders “give their nod of approval,” I'll likely keep making fan creations forever.
