まいど。八刻堂のハチでございます。「秋の夜長」が楽しい季節になってまいりました。何が楽しいかって？そりゃもちろん「寝る時間が長くなる」ことが一番楽しい。
創作活動に重点
まあ、寝ることは半分冗談だけど、個人的には芸術の秋ということで「創作活動」にもう少し多めの時間を取りたいところ。
ところが最近、全く絵を描けておらず。
（見たところ、他の絵描きさん達も皆、忙しそうな様子）
季節の変わり目というのもあるし、下半期も本格化してきて、仕事を年末までに片付けなければならない…といった理由もあるのかも。
思春期の頃は絵を描きまくった
ちなみにハチは、2才からイラストを描いていて（親から聞いた話）、小4で漫画クラブ、中学は授業中に教科書へ落書きをしまくり、その後は美術系の高校に通い、絵を描きまくってきた背景がある。
社会人は仕事に没頭
反面、大学以降は経済学を選考。その後も仕事は金融分野に就き、しばらくは社会人として仕事に没頭し、絵からは遠く離れていたため、今改めて「絵を描きたい」と思いはじめたところ。
ブランクもしばらくあったので「五十の手習い」といった感じで、今改めて絵の技術を学び直しております。

Hey there. Hachi from Hakkokudo here. The season of “long autumn nights” has arrived, bringing with it a time of enjoyment. What's so enjoyable about it? Well, obviously, the best part is that “you get to sleep longer.”
Focus on Creative Activities
Well, the sleeping part is half-joking, but personally, since it's the season for artistic pursuits, I'd like to dedicate a bit more time to “creative activities.”
However, lately, I haven't been able to draw at all.
(From what I can see, it's not just Hachi; all the other artists seem busy too.)
It might be because of the changing seasons, or because the second half of the year is in full swing, and work needs to be wrapped up by year-end...
I drew like crazy during adolescence
By the way, Hachi has been drawing illustrations since age 2 (according to my parents), joined the manga club in 4th grade, doodled all over textbooks during class in middle school, then attended an art-focused high school – so I have this background of drawing nonstop.
As a working adult, I immersed myself in my job
On the other hand, after university, I chose economics. Later, I worked in finance and immersed myself in my job as a working adult for a while, drifting far from drawing. That's why I'm just now starting to feel like “I want to draw again.”
Since there was also a long gap, I'm now relearning drawing techniques in a “learning new skills in my fifties” kind of way.
So, fellow artists, I look forward to continuing our journey together!
