まいど。八刻堂のハチでございます。今日は神殿の牢屋からフィーナを連れ出し、ゼピック村へと向かう予定だったはずのアドルくんが、うっかり道に迷って廃坑に案内してしまったようで、改めて出口を探している二人をパシャリと写真に収めて参りました。

そんなこんなで本題です。
愛しのフィーナ頭頂部のドット絵
今回は「愛しのフィーナ」頭頂部のドット絵について、少し触れてみたいと思います。もしかすると気付いた方もおられたかもしれませんが、じつは今回のドット絵は「フィーナの頭頂部」を一部付け足しています（なんと、恐ろしい・・・）。
もちろん、日本ファルコム様にも理由をご説明し、了承済みです。なぜ、そんなことをしたのか？
理由は大きく2点あります。
・愛しのアドルとドットサイズを同じにしたかった
・愛しのアドルと並んだ時に同程度の位置に揃えたかった
つまり、愛しのアドルと「セットが前提」の企画／アイデアだったのです。
加えて、美的センス（感覚）も大いに関係があります。元絵のフィーナのイラストは「縦長カット」であったため、どうしても上寄りの絵面になってしまい、金の飾り枠に当てはめた場合、微妙な不自然さが生じてしまいました。
これらを解消するためにも「頭頂部の一部付け足し」は、どうしても避けて通れなかった道なのでした。
髪の流れを読み解く
もちろん、1ドット1ドットを丁寧に調査／分析し追加いたしました。元絵イラストの「ドットの法則」だけでなく、イースⅡのエンディングのエンドカットに登場する「女神の髪の毛の流れ（ボリューム感）」なども読み解くようにし、慎重に追加させていただきました。当然のことながら、日にちも空けては見直し、少しでも違和感を感じた部分があれば手直しすることを心がけました。そのくらいに心血を注ぎ、補完するように努めた次第です。

Anyway, onto the main topic.
The Dot Art on Beloved Fina's Crown
This time, I'd like to touch on the dot art on the crown of “Beloved Fina.” Some of you might have noticed, but actually, this dot art has a part added to “Fina's crown” (how terrifying...).
Of course, I explained the reason to Nihon Falcom and received their approval. Why did I do such a thing?
There are two main reasons.
・I wanted to match the dot size with Beloved Adol
・I wanted them to align at roughly the same height when placed side-by-side
In other words, this was a project/idea fundamentally conceived as a set with Beloved Adol.
Of course, aesthetic sense (sensibility) also played a major role. The original Feena illustration was a “tall vertical cut,” inevitably making the image appear top-heavy. When fitted into the gold decorative frame, this created a subtle unnaturalness.
To resolve these issues, adding a portion of the top of her head was an unavoidable step.
Reading the Flow of the Hair
Of course, I meticulously investigated and analyzed each and every dot before adding them. I didn't just follow the “dot logic” of the original illustration; I also carefully studied and added details like the flow of the goddess's hair in the ending cut of Ys II. Naturally, I took time between sessions to review my work, making sure to touch up any part that felt even slightly off. That's how much heart and soul I poured into striving to complete the restoration.
