まいど。八刻堂のハチでございます。最近「権利許諾」の話をよく耳にします。
ハチも実現したい夢はいくつかあるが、立ちはだかるのは常に
「権利許諾」そして
「許諾料」です。
（ここからの話は、うろ覚えの話なので、細かな部分で間違っていてもツッコミは無しでお願いします🙏）

昔、西部警察というドラマが好きでした。今見てもあの映像はすごいものがある。ちなみに、オープニング2のBGMが好きです。
最近、SNSでフラッと流れてきたので、YouTubeでオープニングの最後の方に登場するクレジットを見て改めてビックリした。

これを見て、素直に「かっこええ~」と思うと同時に「こえぇ~」とも思いました。
何しろ、一人で全部を背負っている（握っている）のだから。

古い作品の中には、複数名が関わっている作品でも、こういった感じに「個人名」で締め括られているものがある。
こうした作品の「純粋な権利」を考えると、ちょっと怖くなる。覚書などで具体的に権利の範囲などを明記していればそうでもないだろうが、何しろ昔の話だ。厳密な権利関係を詰めるとなると、いろいろ調整が必要になるに違いない。
今尚、復刻や復活を望まれる昔の人気作品はごまんとあるが、一方では、それぞれのハードルの高さを想像すると絶句する。
ハチも、とある作品に関して、あるところにまで到達することができたが、やはり権利許諾などの部分で相当なハードルを感じ、意気消沈したことがある。
ただ、今は前向き。むしろ◯◯次第でなんとかなるのであれば、可能性はどれもゼロではない。望みはある。
今は、そんな希望を原動力に日々を生きています✨️

I used to love the drama Western Police. Even watching it now, the visuals are incredible. By the way, I really like the BGM for Opening 2.
Recently, it randomly popped up on my social media feed, so I checked the credits near the end of the opening on YouTube and was genuinely shocked all over again.

Seeing this, I honestly thought “So cool~” but also “So scary~”.
After all, he was carrying the entire weight (holding the reins) all by himself.

Among older works, even those involving multiple contributors sometimes conclude with a single “individual name” like this.
Considering the “pure rights” to such works is a bit frightening. If the scope of rights were explicitly stated, it might be different, but this is old history. Establishing strict rights relationships would undoubtedly require significant negotiations.
Even now, countless popular works from the past are still hoped for reprints or revivals, but imagining the sheer height of each hurdle is enough to leave one speechless.
Hachi once managed to get quite far with a certain project, but ultimately felt discouraged by the significant hurdles in securing rights and permissions.
Still, I'm staying positive now. If things can be worked out depending on ◯◯, then none of the possibilities are zero. There is hope.
