そんな日本ファルコム様の爪の垢でも煎じて飲みたいところですが、やはり次なる一手が気になるところです・・・そう、またまた驚きのニュースが舞い込んできました..!
ドラゴンスレイヤー新作プロジェクト
今日のお昼過ぎ頃から、SNSをずっと賑わせているトレンド、それが「ドラゴンスレイヤープロジェクト」でした。
はて？
人によっては、もはや「ドラゴンスレイヤーが何なのか？」さえ、忘れかけている方もいるでしょうから、ちょっとしたおさらいでもしながら、アレコレ語ってみたいと思います。

では、この「ドラゴンスレイヤー」の冠を持つ新たなプロジェクト（=新プロジェクト）とは、いったいどんなプロジェクトになるのでしょう？

竜退治新計画
まず、今の時代で復活するなら「竜退治」であることはさすがに確実なんじゃあないでしょうか…？（登場しないタイトルもあることはナイショ...）
あと、わざわざ「ドラゴンスレイヤー」の冠を付けるのであれば「いろんなファンの期待」を背負うことくらい、だれにでも想像がつく話。だとすれば、新作だろうが復刻だろうが「各ゲームのある程度の要素は引き継ぐ」と考えるのは自然な感じもします。とはいえ、向いている方向が「新規ユーザー」であることはビジネスとして営む以上、容易に想像ができるので、ギャバい展開も理にかなっている・・・と考えられます。
新規発表を待つのみ
ということで、ファルコムの1ファンとして、私も「妄想劇」に乗っからせていただきました（真）。ただ、結局のところは本家からの発表を待つのみ。普段から物事を理屈で考えても上手くいく確率は低いと思っている派なので、ぜひ、想像をはるかに上回る「裏切り」に期待しております（笑）、その待っている間に「あれやこれや」と妄想するのが、楽しいんですよね〜！

Dragon Slayer New Project
Since around midday today, the trending topic buzzing all over social media has been “Dragon Slayer New Project.”
Hmm?
Some folks might even be forgetting what Dragon Slayer is all about, so let's do a quick recap while we discuss this and that.

So, what kind of project will this new venture bearing the “Dragon Slayer” title actually be?

New Dragon Slaying Project
First off, if it's reviving in this day and age, it's pretty much guaranteed to be about “dragon slaying”... right? (Let's keep quiet about the titles that don't feature dragons...)
Also, if they're specifically using the “Dragon Slayer” title, it's obvious to anyone that they'll be carrying the weight of “various fans' expectations.” Given that, it feels natural to assume that whether it's a new game or a remaster, it will “inherit certain elements from the previous games.” That said, since it's being run as a business, it's easy to imagine the target audience is “new users,” so a broad appeal makes sense too.
All we can do is wait for the official announcement
So, as one Falcom fan, I've happily jumped on the “speculation train” (seriously). Ultimately, though, we're just waiting for the official announcement from the source. Personally, I'm of the school that thinks the probability of success when you try to predict things logically is “low,” so I'm really hoping for a ‘betrayal’ that surpasses our wildest imaginations (lol). But while we wait, it's fun to speculate about “this and that,” isn't it~!
