この記事はイース古参ファンのスタッフが懐古厨になりながらも、せっせと新作をプレイしようと挑むために書いているブログです（説明長
無知な部分（間違いや勘違い）も沢山あろうかと思いますが・・・ま、新作ゲットしてファルコムの売上に貢献できてるならそれでヨシッ！
白猫ちゃん
なるほどなるほど。イースシリーズはⅩ（10=テン）まで発売されているが、アドルの冒険日誌を時系列に並べると、最新が「Ⅸ（9=ナイン）」になるのか。
んで、Ⅸ（9=ナイン）についていろいろ調べてみると──
「赤の王」
「白猫ちゃん」
といったキャラが、どうやら人気キャラっぽくSNSで賑わっている。
「赤の王」については、なんとなく聴いたことはあったし、アドルの風貌も昔と随分変わったなぁ〜（厳密には違うらしいが）と、横目にはみていた。
が、しかし・・・
「白猫ちゃん？」
「白猫ちゃん！？（二度見）」
（聖獣ルーとかじゃなく？）
・・・だいぶ衝撃を受けた風貌のキャラが登場したことに、今さらながら、PC88古参勢の1ファンとして驚きを隠せなかった。
（ほほぉ…随分とオシャレで可愛い帽子をかぶっているキャラがいるもんだ──）
ちょくちょくイースシリーズを調べてはいるが、どうもイースⅧ（8=エイト）辺りから、同シリーズはラノベ風の「血」が少しずつ流れているらしい。

ネット上では新しい「血」に、賛否があることはもちろん承知。
しかし個人的には「勇気」あるファルコムの決断に、心から盛大な拍手を送りたい気分だよ✨️88888888✨️

I see, I see. The Ys series has released up to X (10=Ten),
but if you arrange Adol's adventure logs chronologically, the latest is “IX (9=Nine)”, huh?
So, looking into IX (Nine) a bit more...

These characters seem to be popular, buzzing all over social media.
I'd vaguely heard of “The Red King” before,
and I'd noticed Adol's appearance had changed quite a bit from the old days~ (though apparently it's not strictly the same).
But then...
“White Cat-chan?”
“White Cat-chan!? (Double take)”
(Not Saint Beast Ruu or something?)
...As a long-time PC-88 fan, I couldn't hide my surprise at the appearance of a character with such a shockingly striking look.
(Hoh... so there are characters wearing such stylish and cute hats, huh──)
I occasionally look into the Ys series, but it seems that starting around Ys VIII (8=Eight), the series has gradually been infused with a light novel-esque “blood” vibe.
