#ワンダラーズフロムイースの続きを書く
翼を持った少年（ステージ入口）
ワンダラーズフロムイースをじっくり拝見して、改めて素晴らしいと思ったことがありました。
それは、各ステージで
「翼を持った少年」のBGMが流れる「導入部分（入口部分）」がイイ感じに高揚感を醸成してくれるため、気分が自然と盛り上がるんだなぁ、と感じたことです。
（たぶん、他のイース好きの方も言及してると思うけど）
火山の周りを飛んでいるドラゴン？
中でも特に印象深かったのが「イルバーンズの遺跡」ステージ入口です。なんと背景で「火山の周りを飛んでいる2匹のドラゴン」の姿が…
えっ！？こんなの飛んでたっけ？
という感じで思わず見入ってしまいました。
おそらく学生時代は「火山の爆発」と「雲のスクロール」に気を取られて、ドラゴンの存在には気づかなかったものと思われます。
ガルバラン島に向かう小舟
あとはやっぱり、最後の「ガルバラン島」ステージ入口で、アドルが「小舟で波乗り」するシーンがやっぱり最高。
それまでずっと「歩く姿（走る姿）」しかなかったアドルが、いきなり舟の帆で風を切りつつ、ガルバラン島に向かうシーンは最高に胸熱です。
波の動きももちろん細かくて綺麗だし、年を重ねてから改めて思ったのは、背景の
「臙脂色の空模様」
あの色、カッコ良すぎんか？
と、思わず見とれてしまったのでした。
でもやっぱりBGMが最高
とはいえ、これらステージが最高に映えるのは、やっぱり「翼を持った少年」BGMの功績が計り知れないと思う。
JDKバンドの「BOY ON THE WING」も大好きだったし、何度聴いたやら、何度歌ったやら。
歌詞ももちろん最高なんだけど、今くらいの年齢になると「Cメロ」っぽいところに一番惹かれるかな・・・
「吹き荒れる風のなかで
つかれた翼を休め
いつの日か
何のために？
答えをさがすまで……
いつまでも……」
なんか、晩年のアドルすらも想像してしまう・・・
といったところで、本日の笑点はお開き

The Winged Boy (Stage Entrance)
After thoroughly playing Wanderers from Ys, I was struck once again by how brilliant it is.
Specifically, in each stage,
the “intro section (entrance area)” where
the BGM for “The Winged Boy” plays
does such a great job building that sense of anticipation. It naturally gets you pumped up.
(I'm sure other Ys fans have mentioned this too.)
Dragons flying around the volcano?
The stage entrance for “Iberan Ruins” was especially memorable. In the background, you could see... two dragons flying around the volcano!
Huh!? Were these flying around?
I found myself staring in surprise.
Back in my student days, I was probably too focused on the “volcanic eruption” and the “scrolling clouds” to notice the dragons at all.
The small boat heading for Galbaran Island
And then, of course, the scene at the entrance to the final stage, “Galbaran Island,” where Adol “surfs the waves in a small boat” is just the best.
Seeing Adol, who'd only ever been shown walking (or running) until then, suddenly cutting through the wind with the boat's sail as he heads for Galbaran Island is incredibly heart-pounding.
The wave motion is, of course, detailed and beautiful. What struck me anew as I got older was the background's
“crimson-hued sky”
That color... isn't it just way too cool?
I found myself staring in awe.
But the BGM is truly the best
That said, what makes these stages shine so brilliantly is undoubtedly the immeasurable contribution of the “Boy on the Wing” BGM.
I absolutely loved JDK Band's “BOY ON THE WING” too—I can't even count how many times I listened to it or sang along.
The lyrics are fantastic, of course, but at my age now, I find myself most drawn to the “C-melody” part...
"In the howling wind
Rest your weary wings
Until someday
For what purpose?
Until you find the answer...
Forever and ever..."
Somehow, it even makes me imagine Adol in his later years...
