まいど。八刻堂のハチでございます。昨晩は力尽きたので朝投稿に切り替えました。さて、ようやくソーサリアンのアクスタサンプルが手元に届いたので、早速レビューしてみました。
#今回は「イラスト部分」のみのレビューです
想像以上によかった
自己評価が多少乗っていることを差し引いても、なかなか良い出来栄えに仕上がっていたと感じました。具体的な部分をお伝えすると、
・横向き、歩く姿は躍動感がある
・複数の冒険者が揃うと「ペンタウァに集った」感がある
・色のバランス、コントラストが絶妙に良い
・グーランと冒険者たちのコントラストが良い
アクスタ形状は次回にして、今回は「イラストそのもの」と「シーン選び」の話を掘り下げてみたいと思います。
黄色は2色使い分け
少し補足すると、黄色は2色あり、キャラによって使い分けています。特に「緑色」とのコントラストが重要で、緑が多めのキャラクター（女ウィザード、女エルフ）には明るめの黄色を使っていたりします。また、白色についても同様です。黄色が多めのキャラには明るめの白色を用いています（男エルフ）。
ステージの環境光によって使い分ける
じつは、他のファルコム作品（PC88版ゲーム）でも、実際に色味が使い分けられているケースがあります。PC88なので8色使いはもちろんなのですが、暗いステージの時と、明るいステージの時とでは、色味が使い分けられているのです。具体的には黄色が2色使われているステージの場合、水色がなくなったりします。（その場合、2つ目の黄色は「オレンジ」がかった黄色です）
グーランが効いている
そんな躍動感のあるキャラクターと対照的なのが「グーラン」です。消えた王様の杖ステージに登場する「しぬでないぞ」教の開祖さまです（笑）。グーランは傷だらけで足に負傷を負っているため「静けさ」が漂っています。この静けのあるグーランと、ペンタウァの若き冒険者たちの熱い躍動感がミックスされて、最高の舞台演出が整った（と感じた）のでした。

Hey there. Hachi from Hakkokudo here. I was too exhausted last night, so I switched to posting this morning. Anyway, I finally got my hands on the Sorcerian acrylic stand sample, so I reviewed it right away.
#This time it's just a review of the “illustration part”
It was better than I imagined
Even accounting for some personal bias, I felt it turned out quite well. To be specific:
・The side view and walking pose have a dynamic feel
・When multiple adventurers are together, it really captures that Ranger vibe
・The color balance and contrast are absolutely perfect
・The contrast between Guran and the adventurers is excellent
So far, this is just about the illustration itself.
Two distinct shades of yellow
To add a bit more detail, there are actually two shades of yellow used, differentiated by character. Contrast with green is especially crucial. Characters with more green (like the female wizard and female elf) use a brighter yellow. The same applies to white. Characters with more yellow use a brighter white (like the male elf).
Adjusting based on stage ambient lighting
Actually, Falcom's other works (PC-88 games) also use distinct color palettes. While the 8-color palette is a given, the hues are deliberately varied between dark stages and bright stages. Sometimes two shades of yellow are even used (in which case, one is a more orange-tinged yellow).
Guran's presence is striking
In stark contrast to these dynamic characters is “Guran.” He's the founder of the “You Won't Die” cult who appears in the “The King's Staff Has Vanished” stage. Guran, covered in wounds and limping, exudes a sense of “stillness.” This stillness of Guran mixed with the dynamic energy of Penta's passionate adventurers created what I felt was the ultimate stage production.
